Abstract

The article presents the results of a theoretical-empirical study of the features of the factors of effective integration of internally displaced persons into territorial communities. Features of social identity are characterized. The concept of «social identity» is defined as an integrative construct that is built on the basis of processes of active reflection of reality, construction of an image of the social world, social categorization, social identification, social comparison, and which presents a person’s perception of self as a representative of certain groups/social communities with a certain emotional and the value for her of membership in a group/social community. The concept of «community identity» is defined as the result of a person’s identification with certain communities based on their unique characteristics, cultural and/or ethnic ties, history, social relations, common goals that define specific communities, a collective sense of belonging, shared values and common interests. The results of an empirical study, in which 146 respondents aged 18 to 69 took part – internally displaced persons from the zone of active hostilities, were presented, and the following empirical methods were applied: collective identity scale (authors: R. Luhtanen, J. Crocker); questionnaire «Civic Identity» (author: I.R. Petrovska); questionnaire «Socio-cultural identity» (authors: O.V. Krupenko, O.V. Frolova); the author’s questionnaire «Determining the characteristics of the interaction of community identities, attitudes to the reform of local self-government and decentralization of power in Ukraine, the integration of migrants into the local community». According to the correlation analysis, direct significant high correlations of civic and national identities, civic and socio-cultural identities, national and socio-cultural identities were determined. The factors that contribute to the effective integration of internally displaced persons into territorial communities have been identified: harmonious interaction of civil, national and socio-cultural identities; high level of development of civil society at the level of local communities, active involvement of migrants in the socio-political and cultural life of the community.
