Abstract
The collective monograph, prepared by the researchers of the V. A. Romentsi Laboratory of General Psychology and History of Psychology of the H. S. Kostiuk Institute of Psychology of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine, reveals the conceptual foundations, historical course and formation of personality psychology in Ukraine. On the basis of the sources used, the laboratory staff shows that this process unfolded within the framework of general socio-cultural processes. This proves that Ukraine has been and remains a part of Europe, a part of European culture. The monograph shows that the determining factor was the change of cultural paradigms, which is observed both in Western Europe and in Ukraine. The monograph is addressed to psychologists, researchers and practical psychologists, teachers, social workers, as well as those interested in the problems of the formation of psychological science in Ukraine.
