Abstract

The collection deals with the actual psychological problems of small groups' functioning during the war and post-war period, and thus with the challenges of intergroup interaction in these conditions. The Russian-Ukrainian war is defined as extreme intergroup interaction, and psychological mechanisms of interaction as explaining group prejudice and group egoism of the aggressor group, the risks of polarisation of a peaceful group on situational grounds. Against the backdrop of the formation of the national identity of Ukrainians as a large social group, there is a need to unite Ukrainians on the basis of a common destiny and group values, and the trials of life. Addressed to researchers and practitioners, students and postgraduates, teachers of psychological disciplines of higher education institutions, psychologists of general secondary and higher education institutions, the system of postgraduate pedagogical education and other psychological services, members of professional psychological associations and volunteer organisations.
