Abstract

The article highlights the achievements of domestic science in the field of thermodynamics and their influence on the development of the theory of heat in the 19th century.It was concluded that the scientific results obtained by the scientists of Kyiv, Kharkiv, Lviv, Odesa in the field of theoretical and experimental thermodynamics contributed both to the formation of domestic physics and the development of general scientific knowledge.
