Abstract

The relevance and components of media self-education of an individual are considered. Media self-education is conscious a purposeful process of increasing the level of one's own media competence, combines self-education and self-education, which in general is a guarantee of personal personality development, its successful resistance to aggressive influence information space in war and post-war times. It is emphasized that one of the most important tasks of media education is the development of critical thinking of an individual who develops, self-improves, and grows psychologically. Psychological guidelines for increasing the effectiveness of media self-education are offered.
