Abstract

The publication analyzes open access online services as a means of finding scientific sources. In addition to the most popular and popular open international databases WoS and Scopus, scientists have the opportunity to use them to search for scientific works, classify citations, etc. the following services: Science Index, Semantic Scholar, The Lens, Dimensions, BASE, Crossref, etc. The most promising open and free database is OpenAlex, which is developed by enthusiasts based on the data of the now closed Microsoft Academic and CrossRef and integrates them with ORCID, ROR, Pubmed and other sources. Today, the tasks of integration into the global scientific space set before scientists require new approaches to the publication and distribution of the results of scientific and pedagogical research, the definition and application of modern tools for evaluating their effectiveness. The introduction of information and digital technologies into the structure of a scientific organization allows to significantly increase the effectiveness of scientific research, as well as the competitiveness of the organization in the scientific environment, especially in innovative scientific activity.
