Abstract

The monograph was prepared based on the results of several years of research on the feeling of guilt in various social and psychological contexts and public and political environments of modern Ukraine. The content of the monograph is based on the conclusions of the theoretical analysis and the data of 18 empirical studies, which covered more than 4,000 subjects. Personal, interpersonal-communicative, domestic and foreign political, interethnic aspects of guilt are highlighted. The sources of occurrence, features of functioning and tendencies to avoid collective guilt, ways of charging it, connections with blaming and self-blaming attitudes are disclosed. Intended for scientists, graduate students, teachers and students in the field of social and political psychology and related sciences, practical psychologists, employees of state authorities and local self-government, activists of public organizations, all those interested in psychological problems of collective life.
