Abstract

The paper analyzes the problems of evaluating the effectiveness of scientific research. The mechanisms for evaluating the effectiveness of scientific activity, which are used today in Ukraine, need to be adjusted. Otherwise, research results will not reflect the real state of domestic science, which may lead to an inadequate distribution of financial resources between representatives of different branches of science or scientific and scientific-pedagogical institutions, which in turn threatens an imbalance in the development of entire branches of the domestic field of education and science The complexity of the task of measuring the effectiveness of scientists' work lies in the very nature of their activity, namely: determining the list of results achieved in the process of scientific activity; development of criteria for evaluating the quality of scientific research; classification of all types of scientific products according to their relative value for each of the scientific fields; establishing the optimal methodology for evaluating the results of scientific work. When studying the problem of evaluating scientific productivity, one should take into account, first of all, the specifics of scientific activity. These problems are not in a static state, but require constant rethinking taking into account the transformation of scientific activity, the emergence of new information and digital technologies, and the reorientation of public needs. However, in order to successfully carry out the reformation of national science, the solution of these problems is necessary in the near future.
