Abstract

The research problem is related to the disclosure of the modern dimension of the professional activity of the director of an extracurricular education institution. It has been proven that educational management in extracurricular education institutions is a scientific problem in which the main approaches, theories and practices, new lines of research, which today require a high-quality new level of management culture from the director, are revealed. The subdivision emphasizes the new conditions of work of institutions, emphasizes the existing problems associated with new trends in the educational sector. The results of the study prove that in modern conditions characterized by the development of the network society, the spread of online education, and the active phase of digitalization, researchers should form a new system of knowledge about the educational management of extracurricular education institutions, and the director of an extracurricular education institution should switch to new technologies and educational management algorithms. The author cites a number of requirements for professional actions on the part of management, which is caused by digitalization, and also reveals shortcomings that have an impact on communication in the system "teacher - head of an extracurricular education institution". It is proved in the subsection that in order to universalize the professional and personal traits of the manager, it is important to master a new understanding of the professional culture of the manager, where readiness for the formation of the culture of autonomy of the after-school educational institution appears as a necessary element.
