Abstract

The article reveals the essence of educational consulting and describes the features of providing consulting services in educational institutions in conditions of uncertainty. Uncertainty conditions are interpreted as a certain period of time during which there is uncertainty about the future, or what will be the result of the activity of the educational institution in general and each teacher in particular. The need to ensure the productive functioning of the educational institution in such conditions by activating adaptive processes and transforming the institution is emphasized. Arguments are given that the provision of consulting services is a certain stage in the technology of adaptive management. It is described that a certain cognitive activity of an individual regarding the acquisition of knowledge, skills, methods of activity, certain competencies is a leading characteristic of his education. The essence of educational consulting is determined as a process of joint interaction between the provider and recipient of consulting services and decision-making regarding the solution of any issues of personal life, including professional activity. The main means of providing consulting services is the diagnosis of the state of the issue that needs to be resolved and, on the basis of the received data and their interpretation, the adoption of the appropriate decision. The article reveals that it is advisable to use the technology of adaptive management in education for diagnosis: factor-criterion modeling. The technology of factor-criterion modeling and the process of building a qualitative model as a leading diagnostic tool are characterized. It is noted that in order to automate the calculations and visualize the obtained data, the qualitative model is drawn up in the appropriate table in the Excel editor. Recommendations are provided to the head of the educational institution on the organization of the educational institution's activities in conditions of uncertainty and the provision (reception) of consulting services.
