Abstract

Competence potential of the field of science education and basic knowledge are specified in Appendix 9 of the State Standard of Basic Secondary Education (Decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated September 30, 2020 No. 898). The article states the purpose and main requirements for mandatory learning outcomes for students in the field of science education. The author examines the methodical features of revealing the competence potential of the science education field with the help of universal research methods - analysis, synthesis and generalization. It is proposed to discuss the formation of a complete system of such universal methods. In particular, one of the main tasks of education is the development of thinking, teaching students to define and explain concepts from the basics of physics, chemistry, biology or geography, learning to highlight the main things in the studied objects or subjects, teaching students to make comparisons between the studied objects. objects or phenomena and formation of the ability to generalize.
