Abstract

The article deals with the problems associated with the theoretical substantiation of the essence of technical skills in the context of the standard of specialized education in the scientific direction. The essence of technical skills as a didactic category in the structure of research skills is substantiated. It is noted that students who are prone to scientific activity with a high level of mental development, high cognitive abilities require the implementation of tasks of an increased level of complexity, contributing to the expansion of experience through the development and use of research skills, including technical ones. The essence of technical skills is their differentiation into groups according to the intended purpose, type and content of the activity. The author notes that as a result of the existing technical skills and their competent use in the educational process, the mental abilities of a gifted student are positively developed, and their comprehensive and purposeful preparation for research activities is carried out. A deep understanding of the essence of the processes of formation of technical skills in the system of teaching gifted students prone to scientific activity will provide a purposeful educational process for the successful implementation of research activities. Attention is focused on the requirements for technical skills, formed as a result of the implementation of the Standard for specialized education in the scientific direction through the implementation of the provided actions and tasks in accordance with the curricula related to the preparation of students for scientific activities. Research skills as a didactic category are associated with the development of science, the growth of attention to research activities in various fields, both natural-mathematical and humanitarian, where technical skills also play an important role, requiring theoretical validity of the structure and content of their components. Technical skills are considered as the ability to work with literature (note, annotate, compile and use bibliography), as well as practical skills necessary to perform empirical research, materialize a design or design concept, solve an entrepreneurial problem or develop a software product. The article notes that technical skills include the ability to work with literature, including searching for the necessary data, information and content, structuring the material, taking notes, annotating, forming a bibliography of sources. At the same time, in order to carry out these actions, it is necessary to have such abilities as: assess information needs, classify, systematize and generalize textual, digital and symbolic information, highlight the main opinion in the text, interpret the described results, prepare reports, etc. Consequently, technical skills as a significant component of research skills are formed at different stages of the implementation of curricula in accordance with the standard of specialized education in the scientific field, because the primary tasks of scientific activity include actions related to the ability to work with literature.
