Abstract

In the section of the monograph, the author analyzed UN dokuments(«Our Common Futurefile» (1987),«Rio declaration on environment and development, The Rio declaration» (1992), «Plan of Implementation of the World Summit on Sustainable Development» (2002), «Transforming our World: The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development» (2015), «Addis Ababa Action Agenda of the Third International Conference on Financing for Development», «The Future is Now: Science for Achieving Sustainable Development» (2019), «Pursuing the Sustainable Development Goals in a World Reshaped by COVID-19» (2021), «UNESCO Recommendation on Open Science» (2021)) and found out the important role of science in the processes of forming and implementing policies for achieving sustainable development goals at the global and national levels.
