Abstract

The paper provides an analysis of some features of the Mendeley Data service. It is a modern cloud storage for publishing experimental research data. The Mendeley Data service is a development of Elsevier. The data stored with it is easily integrated into the materials published on the ScienceDirect site. Datasets published in Mendeley Data receive unique digital DOI identifiers. The use of the service facilitates the exchange of research data, which usually requires grant funding. Publication of experimental data allows their re-use by other researchers, resulting in increased reproducibility, transparency and confidence in the original study. In this regard, the publication of experimental research data is a typical practice of the world's leading scientific institutions.
