Abstract

It is stated that the EU is implementing comprehensive activities to integrate Ukrainian children and youth into education in the context of Russia's full-scale war against Ukraine. Based on the needs of the Ukrainian children and taking into account the capabilities of the educational systems of the Member States, the EU has proposed a holistic model for the integration of the Ukrainian refugee children into the educational process. It covers the following principles, i.e. ensuring educational needs, ensuring social needs; ensuring emotional needs. Such a model ensures the expansion of the capacity of the infrastructure of educational institutions, training of pedagogical staff including the involvement of the Ukrainian teachers and educators, psychosocial support for children and families, diversification of approaches and teaching tools to preserve the Ukrainian language and culture.
