Abstract
The question of the development of digital literacy of teachers of vocational education institutions by introducing the technology of creating a virtual machine into the educational process and installing an operating system into it is considered. An alternative solution for educational institutions that do not have IT resources is highlighted, namely the introduction of virtualization technology to influence the teaching and learning process. Attention is focused on the basic components of an application virtual machine, the choice of operating systems, VMware tools and hardware devices. The report also discusses the technological aspects of creating an applied virtual machine.
