Abstract

The article analyzes the educational terms for migrant students in the EU. It is now determined that according to the reasons and peculiarities of the movement of persons within and outside the country in the international field (United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees / UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency) distinguish refugees, migrants, asylum seekers and internally displaced people. It is noted that the implementation of a holistic education policy in the EU is based on modern principles and the International Standard Classification of Education and is used to provide education to migrant students without distinction from students who are citizens of the EU. In the context of European educational terms, migrant students are determined from the point of view of their civil status, taking into account countries of origin and stay, generation, reasons for stay and participation in the formal education system of the host country, and format (temporary, permanent, newcomers).
