Abstract

The study outlines strategic guidelines for the development of key competencies in education in the European Union to identify positive experiences for Ukraine. It was found that the development of key competencies is at the heart of the European Education Area. It is concluded that in today's globalized world, young people need a wide range of skills and competencies in order to find a job and become active citizens of their countries.
