Abstract
The law framework for public self-government as one of the new principles of the development of the democracy in Ukraine is examined. It is devoted to the organizational peculiarities of public self-government in an educational establishment. In modern conditions, the functional responsibilities of the leader / director of an educational establishment in a society with public self-government are analyzed.
