Abstract

The article highlights the state of research on the psychological problems of parents associated with the birth of a child with mental and physical disabilities. The typological features of the parent's response to the child's developmental disorders and their impact on the style of family upbringing and the effectiveness of cooperation with specialists in the process of its social rehabilitation are highlighted.
