Abstract

The article actualizes the problem of updating the programmatic, educational methodological provision of the school course of Ukrainian literature on the basis of the cultural approach.It is emphasized on the artistic context as a methodological principle of integration in the process of studying artistic works in the upper classes. The question of correlation of the concept of "context" in the literary and methodological sciences is being considered, and also the publications of researchers on the problem are briefly characterized.The specificity of the study is emphasized of studying literature at school, a conscious understanding of the interpretation of the artistic image in different types of art. It is argued that the effective solution of the problem of artistic context realization in the process of studying Ukrainian literature in the 10-11th grades will be facilitated by innovative active program and educational and methodological support, prepared by the authoritative staff of the Institute of Pedagogy. It's emphasize on the conceptual statement about the analysis and interpretation of a work of art as an artistic phenomenon, which involves taking into account its aesthetic essence, consideration through the prism of key ideas of a particular artistic direction, stylistic currents, which artistically embody the conception of the world and man of a particular historical and cultural age formed in the mind of the writer.The didactic methodological potential of textbooks of Ukrainian literature for 10-11th grades and a literary special course "Masterpieces of Modernism: Studying Ukrainian and Foreign Literature in Artistic Context" for the realization of artistic context are revealed. Fragments of the organization of educational activity of high school students on studying Ukrainian literature in the artistic context are presented.
