Abstract

The topical issues of professional training of primary school teachers, as well as their wider coverage in the scientific and methodological literature on the development of reading activities of primary school children are substantiated. This is a question of age and individual features of development of modern junior schoolchildren with functional immaturity in their cognitive processes; their consideration during the formation of a full-fledged reading skill; balanced ratio of formation of technical and semantic aspects of reading; mastering by teachers of strategies of processing of texts of different types (artistic, informational, continuous, interrupted), and also mastering of a technique of formation at younger schoolboys of different types of reading, etc.
