Abstract

In the article, the features of the national oral tradition and literature for children as well as its impact on both the development of speech and the sociocultural component of the education content are assessed. The folklore for children is reviewed and minor folklore genres and the peculiarities of their acquisition within the respective oral course in schools teaching languages of national minorities are highlighted.
