Abstract

The basic idea laid down in the manual "Biology. Grade 8 », based on the implementation of personality-oriented, active and competent approaches. Their realization is realized due to strengthening of self-educational, systematic, developmental, educational and other functions. The self-educational function is realized through the synchronization of three blocks: text, illustrations and teaching tasks and aims at developing students' ability to acquire knowledge independently. The systematic function of the manual is realized through the presentation of information in graphical forms: diagrams, schematic drawings, tables, work with which develops the ability of students to organize and generalize information. The developmental function of the manual is aimed at the development of personality and the formation of students' communicative competences in the process of teaching biologythrough the introduction of different types of learning organization: in pairs, groups, team. The educational function is aimed at enhancing the cultural and value potential of knowledge about a person, in particular, about ways to preserve his health, discover the contribution of foreign and domestic scientists to the development of biological science, which creates conditions for the formation of health-saving competences and national-patriotic education. After the paragraph, the manual contains tasks for self-control of the student's knowledge. At the end of the topic, in the section "Thematic self-control of students' learning achievements" offers a system of tasks of different types and levels of difficulty that the student can use for self-control, and the teacher - to prepare students for thematic testing. The manual is intended for the organization of educational activities of 8th grade students.
