Abstract

The article analyzes the results of the international evaluation made on the educational achievements of Ukrainian participants taken part in PISA-2018, in particular the indicators of the reading competence level. Key problems of forming the reading competence in general secondary education establishments are outlined, examples of exercises and tasks are recommended that should be used to form the reading competence.
