Abstract

The pedagogical views of the modern American scientist ED Worse than necessary equipping each student with a certain amount of conceptually selected cultural knowledge, defined as core knowledge (translated from English as "basic knowledge"); essentially cultural literacy and reading competence. Extrapolation of educational opportunities is justified ideas of the scientist on the problematic field of the Ukrainian secondary school in the sense of developing approaches to constructing educational content.
