Abstract

In the elementary grades of the New Ukrainian School a modern assessment model is introduced, which aims to unlock the potential of each child, support it and inspire it to learn further. Assessment is predominantly formative and evaluates student learning rather than output. Objective assessment requires updated approaches to control student achievement in a competency setting.
