Abstract

This article highlights main changes in school biological education in Ukraine, including strengthening of the methodological component of the content, orientation on the development of ethical and responsible students' attitude to life and health. There is also stated that the applied aspect of biological knowledge and the formation of skills, which are necessary for success in the 21st century, is not sufficiently disclosed in the content of biological school education.
