Abstract

The article particularly focuses on understanding a learner's role in the professional educational establishment as an actor of pedagogical process, discovering his basic qualities (self-consciousness, independence, autonomy, and ability to be responsible for his actions, deeds and possible consequences of his mistaken actions). It presents the main exponents of an actor’s and learner's autonomy as well as the main actor's qualities in the professional education. It proves that the main manifestations of an actor are different kinds of autonomy – social (minimum requirement is an individual ability to adapting into the society by acquiring basic competencies i.e. becoming personality), educational (creational learning activity as one of the main components of basic competencies i.e. developed learning activity culture), and professional (becoming an actor of professional activity – that is one of the main goals of professional activity and support of the specialist’s creational professional activity), that simultaneously envisages person’s ability as an actor of being, behavior and activity to turn his living activity into the object of practical transformations, allowing to self-control based on self-evaluation, self-reflection, self-regulation and self-determination of the being, behavior, and activity. It highlights that one of the main preconditions for the successful learning activity i.e learner’s autonomy in the pedagogical process is knowledge, his awareness and perception of the goals, objectives, contents, techniques, methods and results, and their timely correction if necessary. It is possible only with the developed self-reflection providing him with his own analysis of consciousness and learning activity as the whole system. It explains that the main actor’s qualities in the professional education are: conscious learner’s attitude to getting professional education; learner’s activeness; learner’s ability to form informational request; learner’s ability to reflect and self-reflect on goals, contents, process and results of the professional education; learner’s ability to think critically; his independence in achieving set educational goals in professional education; ability to be an actor in the system of actor-to-actor pedagogical relations in the process of professional education. It determines the priority ways for the practical solution of the problem of learner’s autonomy in the pedagogical process of the professional educational establishment: 1) orientation of the professional education system towards humanities; 2) democratization and humanization of the professional educational establishment learning environment; 3) orientation of the professional education system towards fundamental disciplines; 4) assistance to the learners in personality, cultural and professional identification, initially as an actor of educational, and, then, future professional activity. 5) motivation of actor-to-actor relations between the participants of the educational process and their creational support in their professional educational establishment.
