Abstract

In the article was actualized the problem of realization the competence approach in school literary education, the concepts of "readership competence as a key" and "reader competence as a subject matter" are concretized; the structure is determined and features of the subject literary competence (general cultural, literary, interpretive, axiological, creative and linguistic) are described, it’s defined the didactic and methodical potential of the new schoolbooks "Ukrainian literature ( standard level )" for pupils of the 10's form and "Ukrainian literature (standard level)" for pupils of the 11's form (2018, 2019) about the implementation the subject - subjectivity of school literary studies, oriented to the formation of a modern competent pupils-reader.
