Abstract
The test technologies for assessing the ecological competence of senior pupils are presented. It was found that the level of formation of environmental competence can be defined as the probability of making environmentally sound decisions, regardless of the direction of future professional activities. The coefficients of correlation between the results of the performance of the subject external independent assessment and the results of studying of various disciplines in the first year of higher education are calculated.
