Abstract
Concept of studying the geography of Ukraine in the basic and high school created as a framework document, identifying key development vectors the geography of Ukraine at school, where the key contemporary aspects of geographic education are considered, based on courses that cover the complex, in terms of geography, studying their homeland. The concept highlights contemporary trends in the development of Ukraine's geography, which should initiate a discussion on the improvement and modernization of the relevant sections of the State educational standards, and they, in turn, create new curricula. The main aspects of the dialectical interdependence of the concept of studying the geography of Ukraine in the primary and secondary schools are highlighted and substantiated here, Ukrainian geographic component of the State Educational Standards and the curriculum of Ukrainian geography courses for the main school. The Concept covers aspects of geographic education in geography courses Ukraine in school: here there are philosophical, psychological and pedagogical, didactic fundamentals and methodical features of studying the geography of Ukraine in high school and lyceum. In addition to the formation of a system of geographical concepts and Competencies in the Concept are considered modern and innovative approaches to the educational process and the educational process in the context of patriotic and educational components.
