Abstract
The modern cognitive situation is characterized. It is shown that the scientific works of G. Ball corresponds to the challenges of time, is consistent with general scientific tendencies and the demands of modern psychology. This is due to a number of characteristics of G. Ball's creative heritage (human-studies orientation; constructive re-vision of the category of rationality; dialogism; studies of hidden and marginal flows in the development of knowledge; integrity and transdisciplinarity of scientific research). The importance of studying the creative heritage of G. Ball, his heuristic potential in solving the actual problems of psychology, in particular the search for ways to integrate psychological knowledge, is emphasized.
