Abstract
Guidelines, prepared by scientists of the Department of technologies of open learning environment of Institute of Information Technologies and Learning Tools NAES Ukraine, is address to solve the actual problems associated with the use of electronic social networks as tools for the formation of information and education environment for senior pupils’ learning. A number of methods related to: the formation of safe and responsible use of social networks and the critical evaluation of web resources; use of electronic social networks to provide group interaction; organization pupils’ self-directed learning (on an example of physics) as well as project and research activity of students (on an example of mathematics); prevention of aggressive behavior of pupils; support for education of children with limited capacity; the organization of informal education of youth is proposed. Much attention is paid to changing the emphasis from network communication to organizing productive discussions, as well as from collaborative teaching methods. For practicing educators - teachers, class leaders, school psychologists, social pedagogues, etc.
