Abstract
The paper presents the problem of formation of civil initiative of pupils at boarding schools. The essence and content of person’s initiative, its determinants and possible reasons for the variations in forms of behavior from the acceptable ones have bene revealed. The parameters of scientific analysis and civil content have ben determined. The definition and structure of the concept of «civic initiative» have been suggested. The tasks of formatrion of adolescents’ civil initiative have been revealed.
