Abstract

The article deals with the genesis of the concept "education", presents the main characteristics and features of modern education; it is substantiated that the modern educational system is open and meets all the requirements of the synergetic system (open, nonlinear, unbalanced, complex); The essence and methodological concepts of the new integrated sphere of knowledge of the sphere of education - educology are revealed.
