Abstract
This thesis is a theoretical and experimental study aimed at examining organizational and pedagogical conditions for training managers of general education institutions in the use of Internet technologies in their professional activities. The research paper offers a model of Internet readiness formation for managers of general education institutions and a mechanism of its implementation in the system of postgraduate pedagogical education. The criteria, indicators, and levels of Internet readiness of general education institutions managers are developed in the thesis. Training and methodological materials, software and a methodology for training managers of general education institutions in the use of Internet technologies in their professional activities as part of refresher courses for managers of general education institutions in the system of postgraduate pedagogical education are described. The paper also defines the notion of Internet readiness of managers of general education institutions and singles out its components. The notions “education 2.0” and “professional training of the general education institution manager to the Internet-technologies usage” is accurately defined and the necessity for the government to develop and approve ICT standards for teachers and managers of general education institutions is substantiated.
