Abstract
In the article it is established that the scientifically grounded pedagogical ideas of VA. Sukhomlinsky still serve today the revived Ukraine, the modernization of education, the formation of students' conscious attitude to their health, mastering the life skills of a healthy lifestyle; Shown that Vasily Alexandrovich attached great importance to the problems of correctional pedagogy.
