Abstract

Modernization of Current Systems of University Rankings”. The paper is devoted to analyses of contemporary theoretical and methodological critique of university rankings and the optimal ways of its improvement. Special accent is made on the problem of measuring learning outcomes and insufficient representation of this parameter in existing university rankings. The author analyzed the main approaches to the problem of measuring learning outcomes in contemporary English-language academic literature. He stressed the importance of adequate place of the evaluation of learning outcomes in the context of development of new system of quality assurance of higher education in Ukraine.
