Abstract
The main branches of school literature teaching method development in 70-80 years, XX century are considered. The literature lesson theory development, the literature lessons typology determination, the students’ independent work organization in the process of learning literature is accented. The theoretical and methodological principles of such scientists as I. Sobolev, V. Nedilko and E. Pasichnyk in the outlined aspects are analyzed.
