Abstract

The section describes the experience of psychological support and practice work with volunteers - helper professionals (psychologists, psychotherapists) with its theoretical and methodological grounds. Analyses the typical mental status of professionals caused by work with victims, traumatic countertransference, secondary traumatic stress, emotional burnout. Describes the methods and technique of psychosocial support of volunteers who work with different groups of victims. Separately considered preventive component in work of the consultants of 'helpline'.
