Abstract

The article is devoted to the problems in the development of music education and pedagogical thought in Ukraine in the 19th century. On the basis of the historico-pedagogical analysis we reviewed the peculiarities of the establishment of the educational system under socio-political and sociocultural changes throughout the century. We analysed the organization peculiarities of specific music institutions that were instrumental in the strengthening of national orientation in ukrainian music education.
