Abstract

Dissertation for the scientific degree of the Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences in 13.00.04 – "Theory and methods of professional training". – Institute of Pedagogical and Adult Education of the APS of Ukraine. – Kyiv, 2009. The dissertation researches theoretical foundations of the credit-modular sys-tem. It considers methodological principles governing modern higher education systems, the basic features of credit systems and the psychological-pedagogical pre-requisites of organizing education according to credit technology. The author designed a credit-modular system of informatics teachers training, analyzed its peculiarities on the university level, developed assessment and credit accumulation mechanisms and modelled a stage-by-stage process of training. The author developed the main components of the basic credit-modular train-ing of informatics teachers, specified its objective and content, peculiarities of its integration into the general process of training and the means of realizing individual trajectories of specialists' training. The dissertation features the course of the peda-gogical experiment. Key words: credit-modular system, final credit, credit module, individual training trajectory, informatics teacher.
