Abstract

The article substantiates the need for a practical approach to determining the content of teaching Ukrainian as the state language and other languages as subjects. Such an approach with a focus on formation of communicative competence should be incorporated in the new version of the state standard of language education in Ukrainian and other languages for primary and high school teaching of national languages. It is proposed to review and implement the principle of continuity draft national standard for primary school.
