Abstract
In the collective monograph prepared by scientists of the department of modern information technologies education of the G. S. Kostiuk Institute of psychology of NAPS of Ukraine, the conception of intellectual development of adults in the virtual educational space is presented. The special attention is focused on the development of psychological and pedagogical basis for the designing and implementation of productive training courses in Internet. They focus, on one side, on the described structure of the intellect of adult, his intellectual metacognitions and competences, and on the other side on a deep practical integration of appropriate training with modern electronic technology, including communication and multimedia areas. Authors reveal the psychological content of distance technologies to improve the quality of life and life success, the formation of communicative competence, development of intelligence in the context of the project activity, intellectual support of the elderly and application of a respondent model, basing on the fundamental trends of modern learning via Internet and created tools for the development of virtual educational environments. The monograph is addressed to researchers and psychologists, teachers, experts in various fields who are interested in understanding and active development of modern information technologies of education.
