Abstract
The results of the empirical study are presented, in which the students discussed in groups the Ukraine's entry to an international organization. Preparation to the discussion took place in a three groups of students: one group searched for information in line with their opinions; the second one - opposite to their opinions; and could choose any relevant information. It was found that the group polarization appeared due to the process of preparing discussion. This phenomenon was observed in students who had firm opinions, and was oriented to search supportive information.
