Abstract
This article examines how the results of educational monitoring studies are used in teaching practice in general secondary schools in Ukraine. The study is motivated by the growing role of empirical evidence in educational quality management and the need to understand the conditions under which monitoring results are translated into classroom practice. The study aims to determine how teachers use the results of educational monitoring in their professional practice and to identify the factors associated with more frequent use of these results. The empirical basis of the study is an online survey of 18,581 teachers from general secondary schools in Ukraine conducted between November and December 2025. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, and linear regression. The findings show that monitoring results are used at all examined levels, most frequently by teaching staff and school leadership. Teachers primarily use these results to improve instructional practices, support their professional development, and evaluate their own teaching. Positive associations were found between teachers’ awareness of monitoring results, the frequency of their use, and perceptions of the effectiveness of educational monitoring. The strongest predictor of more frequent use was the availability of adapted, practice-oriented recommendations. The study concludes that the practical value of educational monitoring depends not only on the availability of data but also on effective mechanisms for translating evidence into teaching practice.
