Abstract

The paper examines the potential of the Grade 8 Ukrainian history textbook to develop students' national values and civic identity through the ideas of the Ukrainian Charter of the Free Person. It analyzes how the values of freedom, responsibility, and statehood are reflected in the textbook's historical content and teaching methodology. The role of activity-based learning in integrating history and civic education is substantiated.
