Abstract

The methodological recommendations are devoted to the practical aspects of teaching the subject "Jurisprudence" in grade 9 and the course "Civic Education" in grades 8–9 in accordance with the requirements of the State Standard of Basic Secondary Education and the concept of the New Ukrainian School. The publication highlights the conceptual principles of synchronizing the requirements of the standard and distinguishing the content of consonant disciplines in grade 9, reveals the activity tools for teaching civic education in grade 8 and the methodology for organizing student social projects, contains practical tools for developing legal thinking, algorithms for analyzing legal situations and working with regulatory legal acts. The methodological recommendations are addressed to teachers of civic education and jurisprudence, methodologists, lecturers and students of pedagogical institutions of higher education, as well as students of the postgraduate pedagogical education system.
