Abstract
The paper substantiates the interdisciplinary principles of structuring the national-cultural component of the content of modern teacher education. It highlights the integration of pedagogical, psychological, historical, cultural, philological, ethnological, and sociological knowledge into the professional preparation of future teachers. Based on an analysis of educational programmes at 18 higher education institutions, the main manifestations of interdisciplinarity are identified, including the integration of humanities disciplines, the combination of theoretical and practice- oriented knowledge, the use of cultural, Ukrainian studies and competency-based approaches, and the incorporation of contemporary sociocultural practices. The significance of this approach for developing future teachers’ cultural, civic, linguistic-communicative, and media-educational competencies is substantiated.
